This land conjures memories of a distant past. A land known to my people simply as Mother Earth; whose inhabitants called the Enotrians or “wine people” poured the nectar of the gods to toast the winners of the Olympic Games and salute the warriors of Sybaris and Crotona. Their wines resided in the refectories of Emperors and Popes.
Today Le Moire winery was guided with great perseverance by Paolo Chirillo, who launched himself in this adventure, with love for the territory and its origins, showing that the Savuto valley can once again play an important role in regional and national viticulture.
Almost exclusively native vines are cultivated: Magliocco, Dolce, Greco Nero, Mantonico and Pecorello. The faci The suggestive vineyards, which are located in the eastern ridge of the Savuto valley, are near the historic Annibale bridge, one of the oldest and most evocative in Europe.
The typical thermal excursion of the area allows the vine to grow in the best way. Almost exclusively native vines are cultivated: Magliocco Dolce, Greco Nero, Mantonico and Pecorello on all. The facilities are located about 400 meters above sea level.
